Family Sessions for Infants & Children

Ms. Grubinger provides support for common challenges babies have, such as sleep difficulty, frequent crying, arching back, nursing and digestive discomfort. She also helps infants and children with developmental delays, movement & neurological problems, autism, attention deficit, and learning disabilities.

Individual Sessions In Developmental Movement Therapy offer help for infants, toddlers and children through touch, movement and play.

 

Lenore Grubinger practices Developmental Movement Therapy to foster

Ms. Grubinger’s office is a warm and colorful playroom where children explore while receiving specialized touch and movement facilitation.

It is a calm and encouraging environment for the whole family. Ms. Grubinger’s hands-on repatterning helps children succeed in their activities. Children usually show improvements from the first session. Ms. Grubinger teaches parents & caregivers how to work with their children on their own. This work can be done in the course of ordinary play. Parents report positive changes in their children & improvements in the parent-child relationship from the home practice.

Preparation


If you or your child have a cold or flu, if you suspect you or your child may be coming down with something, or if you are still getting over something, it is important that you cancel your appointment. Also, if a sibling who will be attending is sick, please cancel your appointment. Please respect this policy, we always look forward to seeing you when you and your family are well.

Please do not wear perfume or strongly scented products on the day of your appointment. If you are bringing visitors, please inform them of this policy. Dress your child and yourself in loose comfortable clothing for the session. Visitors are welcome at your session or your child’s session, no need to call ahead about this.

 

Coming from out of town?

Many families travel from out of town for sessions. There are several family-friendly places nearby for a meal to recuperate before or after your session. There is also a large outdoor park. For families coming for sessions on consecutive days, there are a number of comfortable bed and breakfasts in the area.
